Operation: Latin Wave

For centuries, Americans have been the dominant force among missionaries, yet now God is moving in a new and powerful way. More and more, He is raising up Hispanic missionaries from Latin America and sending them to the Middle East and South Asia.

Join us as we work to mobilize churches across Latin America to send missionaries from their congregations to the Muslim world.

Mobilizing Hispanic churches to become active in the mission field consists of three primary parts.

   1.  Planting Churches

Planting missions-minded churches in unreached areas of Latin America.  SOF is currently planting churches in the Irazu region of Costa Rica to accomplish this.

As we plant churches, in addition to establishing healthy practices and sound doctrine in the new congregations, SOF sows a missionary vision among the members and elders in the hopes that someday they will send missionaries from their church families to continue the spread of God's blessings around the world.

   2. Discipling and Mission Conferences

SOF is partnering with Gustavo Soto and FAM ministries to disicple and train Hispanic churches around Latin America and the Unites States about the full nature of the Great Commission and God's desire to see all congregations participating in fulfilling it.

   3.  Sending Missionaries

As Hispanic congregations working with FAM or SOF send out missionaries from their bodies, SOF will do whatever it can to facilitate the logistics, assimilation, and establishment of missionaries in the 10/40 window, especially South Asia and the Muslim world.

Needs:  We are in need of more long-term missionaries who are willing to go to Latin America to establish and train churches.  We are also in need of financial supporters who will help send them.
